Cautionary Tale Interviews! with Megan Uosiu - CG Artist

Which one of the three games did you work on?

I worked on If in Your Dreams; the Flood.

What is your favorite part of working in a team?

You get to meet so many talented people!

What assets did you create?

I worked on the CG art.

What program(s) do you use to draw?

I used Photoshop CS6 and Easy Paint Tool Sai.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to do NaNoRenO for the first time?

It’s great to first join an experienced team, because you can learn so much about the process of making a game from them. And only after you understand all the steps, is when you can freely start on making your very own one.

Do you have any sort of drawing routine? Music, warm-ups, hand stretches?

If possible, I listen to the music relevant to the game I’m working on, to get in the right mood. In this case, I’ve played the music references people posted when asking the composers for specific music pieces. I’ve found quite a few great songs that I will happily come back to later on.

Was there anything that didn’t make it into the game that you wish had?

The dogbird. Actually, I really should have added him in those waves.

Which character is your favorite?

So far Elijah, I think.
