About the Journey: Closing the Distance

After 10 years apart, childhood friends Freya and Ophelia are reunited!

Together, they embark on a 3,500-mile, coast-to-coast rail journey across the United States. Confined to their small cabin, their friendship is reignited and tested like never before. Can the two girls overcome the time and distance that has separated them for so long, and how will their relationship evolve if they can?

Developed in the month of March for NaNoRenO2024. This year's jam marks our 10-year anniversary of participating in NaNoRenO!

Watercress is an international game developer and publisher consisting of approximately 50 members, with 14 members participating in this project. About the Journey: Closing the Distance is our tenth NaNoRenO release, and our 15th published game.
